What a day

Hello blogfriends

Firstly I want to say thank you to everyone who sent get well wishes, it is really appreciated.  I'm on the mend - not 100% but nearly there.

I really wanted to join in with the first challenge over at the new Saturated Canary challenge blog - so I sat and tried to create today.  Well it just wasn't working, I don't like the way the skirt is coloured makes it look like culottes!  Although I don't think I done too bad with the top.  I also tried using my new sewing machine that I got for my birthday and the bloody thing won't work!!  It worked when I tried sewing on the sample piece of material that was in with the machine - tried on the card and it wouldn't blooming well work - I've spent all afternoon, on and off, fiddling with it.  Me and hubby even argued over what was wrong with it!

So I then decided to punch a paper border to cover where the stitching went wrong - don't like it!  Don't like how the ribbon doesn't go round the edge either.

I give up - sometimes the old carding just doesn't go as planned.  So here is a card to share, but I don't think much of it.  Pah!!

Main shot:

Arty detail shot:

Thanks for listening to me whinge - promise I'll be cheerfuller tomorrow, when I'm hoping I'll be back to normal.

Details on card:

Simply Sassy - Windswept, coloured with my Promarkers and die-cut with my Go-Kreate die.
Chalked the background for definition.
Papers are MakingMemories - Boho Chic.
Craftwork cards card blank
Fiskars border punch
Ribbon and buttons from my boxes.

Hope you like more than I do and hopefully will be blog-hopping at some point tomorrow to catch up with you all.  Won't be daytime though as we've got our first consultation with Emily's Teacher - wish us luck!!

Sarah

Well Sarah, Firstly her hair is stunning very beautifully coloured! I also have major issues when card making and often chuck stuff away and thats without being ill! I also had a row with hubby when I couldn't get the sewing machine to work, often it just needs a good run through, even if thats on lots of fabric first. Mine is fine now after lots of runs, don't oil things too much either (hubby did that and all the thread came out black for ages!) Good luck with the teacher visit I'm sure it will all be fine! Hugs Rebekah xx

Your colouring is fab, her hair looks really good. I have to confess that I haven't even taken my sewing machine out of the box, and it was given to me over two years ago!! xx
