Hello

Hi everyone

Sorry it's been a bit quiet in the life and times of Sarah-land just lately.  Not only did I have a stinking cold, thankfully mostly gone now, but as said in last post I've completely lost my interest in cards right now.

I still am wandering into the dining room and looking at all my stuff and wandering out again having made nothing, nada, zilch, not a sausage!  I know I've got DT cards to do and I will do those, but I seriously can't find any enthusiasm for making anything for me.

I don't know if it's the stash diet - I am sooooo missing my little parcels of happy - those internet baskets are getting heavier and more difficult to delete!!!  Maybe it's the good weather and not wanting to be indoors while that lasts! Maybe it's the looking at the dies and papers that I want and having to put them back that's making me fed up.  I'm keeping an eye on the diary counting down the months to the craft fair, but oh dear I'm weakening.  Even the beads aren't calling me right now, how pants is that!

Anyway I've been through this sort of creative dry patch before, and come out again (obviously!) so until then I'll leave you with a card I made a few weeks ago but haven't blogged yet.

Front shot:

Detail:
I used:

Lili of the Valley - Milly Flower Power, coloured with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers and sentiment stamp
First Edition paper pad - Hideaway
Gems and ribbons from my stuff
Craftwork cards - card blank

Ho hum, so depressing again!  I'm surprised I haven't frightened you all away!  Lets hope some of this sunshine makes its way into my dark dining room and inspires some more cards, eh!!!

Hope you are all doing well and apologies that I've not been visiting you all very much - I will do, just as soon as I don't spread the depression with me!!!!

Cheerio
Sarah

This card is soooooo cute! Love that image.
Sorry to hear you are in a slump. Maybe you should buy just one or two items that might inspire some creativity. It is like a diet, one little piece of candy will not ruin all your hard work! Good luck.

This is a really cute card Sarah love the spring feeling! I so know what you mean though I haven't had the heart to create much either or go blog hopping, trouble is I hop for inspiration but see all these new goodies I want to buy! I got so much inspiration from my new goodies and now I'm on a total stash diet due to unemployment! I keep digging to find all the goodies I have not yet used as this is as good as having new stuff! Hope your mojo and enthusiasm comes back soon!
Hugs Rebekah xx

Hi Sarah, this card is gorgeous! What an adorable image and I love how you have coloured it!

I hope you get through your crafty slump soon! I think you might be right... those lovely parcels arriving in the mail definitely inspire me, but then again, so does cleaning up my desk and re-discovering things!

Hugs!

This is really, really pretty, Sarah! Love the colours and this is such a happy image. I think we all go through phases when our mojo leaves us (having a bit of a dry spell myself, as it goes) but just remember that you are very talented - a very strong reason to feel good about yourself. Crafting shouldn't be a chore, tho' - I'm probably not saying the right thing here but maybe you deserve a wee crafty treat? It usually works for me! xx

Gorgeous card Sarah. Now hun I'm not going to encourage you but I do think you are at the stage where you need to get a little something or somethings.
Do not beat yourself up about it I think, provided you can, you should have a wee treat or two. Something to pep you up. However I would wait until the weather isn't as good because it could be that your mojo is down a little if you like going out in the sun.
If you don't get something or things now you could end up having a major blow out! I have purchased myself a couple of things this week which I will blog about next week and I'm not going to beat me up for it as I've used so much and gone so long without. You know where I am if you want to talk hun Karen x

I agree that a little treat is in order, as long as it's something you'll use there can't be any harm in it ;o) By the end of last year I was really struggling to get enthusiastic about my cards, the lack of new papers started to affect me and I felt like everything I made was so boring! I've gone the other way the last few months and had too many big spends - will have to cut back again soon!

Your card is gorgeous :o) Love these papers and the cute image - there are just too many LOTV images that I neeeeed! Hugs, Lisa x

Oh Sarah, I'm right there with you, as you know, haven't created for ages! If you're going to have a little spend which is of course up to you, set yourself a budget & really think hard about what you want. It is no good not creating. However that said we all go thorough mojo-less spells & it will get better.

Big hugs xxx

P.S. The postie came yesterday with a wonderful parcel....stuffed full of gorgeous work created by a very talented lady! xx

Oh this is a beautiful spring card hun! :) Gorgeous sweet image and so bright and cheery.

I think I understand about the dry-patch with no crafting goodies. I have been in a similar position before, and find that swapping stuff with others helped, or just picking something out at random and seeing what you can do with it.

hugs
