Covers going on

Hi blogworld

Nope not fallen off the face of the Earth - but am having a break from crafting and blogging.

Not in the mood for either, partly I'm sure to trying to craft in chaos (still no craft room), partly going to concentrate on trying to get the house renovations finished.  So that I may feel more like crafting.

So shall we say see you here in 10 years???

Thanks to all the lovely people who've left comments and who have followed me - it'll be a while before you see me again.

Not to worry though I'll be dead busy!

Sarah

Wish me luck!!

Will let you know how I go!!

Always late to a party!

Good morning blogworld,

This post should've gone up on Monday but I came back from a day out with the family on Sunday with a stinking migraine and have only just really shook the last of it off.

So apologies to the rest of the Cutie Pies girls - this is my DT inspiration for the new challenge.

For this challenge, we are off on a Teddy Bear Picnic - care to join us!
You are free to interpret this theme as you wish, however, your chosen image and design MUST BE CUTE!!

 Our challenge is sponsored by:
who are offering a fab prize to our chosen winner, and we are lucky enough to have a second sponsor this time:

who are offering some amazing digi stamp prizes to our randomly chosen winner.....so lots to play for!

Now I have to confess I'm not much of a teddy sort of person, and this challenge threw me a bit - so my teddy doesn't look like he's going to a picnic at all, but at least it's a teddy!  I'm sure y'all can do much better - just look at the cuteness my Teamies created!

I used:

A very, very, very old Patchwork Pals kit
A very, very, very old bit of chipboard
and a not so old (but not new!) Memory Box heart die

And that's it!

Cheerio for now,

Sarah

Not cards?

Good afternoon blogworld on this my last day of daytime freedom for six weeks!!

You think I've been a bad blogger recently - just you wait and see, I'm going to get even worse!

SWMbO breaks up for the school holidays today and so I won't have much time to myself at all now - she's already got visits with friends, days out, swimming, bowling, pizza and so on planned!  I've said it before and I'll no doubt say it again - she's got a busier social life than I do!

So this partly to say apologies in advance for what will be, I know, an almost total lack of blogging but also a sort of I'm proud of myself type post.

I'm sure I've said this before as well - I'm not a very outgoing sort of person.  People worry me!  But I've been incredibly brave and booked myself a stall to sell my cards at a local village fete - whether any cards sell remains to be seen.  But I've done it and now all I've got to do is actually get there!

I thought just cards on the stall would be a bit boring - so I'm branching out.  Waddaya think?

Small bookmark

Larger personalised bookmark (guess who this is for!)

Bagged for selling and showing how they look in a book

I've got 5 small wiggly ones and 5 large which are a combo of dolphins, mermaids and hearts/ flowers.

Hubby says about a fiver each - I'm not sure.

So if I don't come on in a panic before, think of me on the 16th August!  I will be panicking then!!!

Whatever you do over the summer - hope you have a nice time and see you in September.

Cheerio

Love and marriage...

Good morning blogworld,

...love and marriage, goes together like a horse and carriage.
This I tell you brother, you can't have one without the other

All singing along yet?  I know I am!!

So there I'm waffling along - have you missed it?  Probably not, eh!!  I think it's the countdown to the school hols that's frying my brain, only three days left to go! Panic, panic, panic!

Anyways shall I stop going do-lally and tell you why I'm really here?  It's because it's Monday and a new challenge over at The Cutie Pies, which if you haven't guessed yet, is all about love and marriage!  So we'd like to see your cutest projects for love and / or marriage.

We're sponsored this time by:

http://www.sweetstamps.com/
$10 gift certificate

And this is what I made:

I used:

Digi stamp
Pollycraft (sadly closed) - Chester in love
coloured with my Copics

Papers:
echo park - Be Mine

Dies:
Nestie oval

Anything else?
Ribbon, very old chipboard embellishments, Viva Pearl Pen.

And that's it folks.

Got a busy day today - first off it's SWMbO sports day at school, then she's going on a 'lads, lassies and Dads' picnic walk with daddy after school then we're going to a Brownies taster session in the evening as she'll be starting there in September.

Will be a sad day - no more Rainbows - she's been going for two years and will miss it, but she is looking forward to Brownies thankfully.

Only left to say please pop on over to the challenge - you'll love it there, if you're into cuteness.

See you soon,
Sarah

So that's it from me today folks - still hit and miss with the old Mojo, it may be slowly coming back, but we're now looking down the nose of the summer holidays.   I've got 6 days until SWMbO breaks up, then it will be full tilt summer fun and you won't see much of me at all!

Again, apologies for not visiting your blogs for ages - one day I'll catch up, I promise!!

See you soon,

Sarah

Use cute digi

Good morning blogworld

Seems to have been ages since I did this - so lets hope I remember how to!  I'd also like to say thanks to Lisa and the Cutie Pie team for bearing with me while I have a major mojo meltdown - thanks for not kicking me off the team ladies!!

http://www.2cuteink.com/

I love drawing animals and anything cute!  I am always looking for new ideas to draw, so let me know what you would like to see!

Happy Birthday with added bunting!!

Good morning blogworld,

It's a special day over at MAWTT where it's our 5th birthday (or as close as can be got!).  Now I know I'm having a major Mojo crisis but I couldn't let this go without joining in on the massive blog hop our wonderful boss lady Hazel has arranged!

So the hostess for this week is the lovely Susan and the theme for the challenge is buttons, bunting and birthdays - so any combination of any of those three things is acceptable!

With this challenge, there is a bloghop going on with a massive amount of prizes up for grabs - pop on over to the blog the see all the goodies on offer!

You can do either the challenge or the hop or both if you like - but you have to follow the theme or the rules for which ever one you are entering.
Blog Hop Rules.

To be eligible for the Prizes you must visit all the blogs and collect a letter from each.  Then email Hazel at didosdesigns@yahoo.com with the word you have made with Blog Hop Word in the Subject Line.  You must send the word to us to be in with a chance of winning!!!!

Each DT Member will announce their winner on their own blog from the comments.

So you should have arrived with me from Jessie and I'm last on the list!  But if you haven't arrived here in the correct order you should pop back to the challenge blog and the full list is there for you to work your way through.

This is my card for this challenge, as you may have guessed it was for a special little persons birthday last weekend!

I used:

Digi image:
coloured with my Copics
computer generated sentiment

Papers:
BoBunny - Ambrosia Collection

Dies:
LaLa Lands banner

Anything else?
Ribbon, pins, button from my stuff

So not only can you win a prize on the challenge blog - for completing the hop - I've also got an added prize on my blog for one lucky person who leaves me a comment.  The prize is these stamps:

So any guesses yet which letter is mine??

Happy hopping,

Sarah

Surprise!

Hi Dressies,

Welcome to our surprise birthday blog hop and challenge.

Today is the very talented Wendy’s birthday, for those who don’t know Wendy is the owner and artist behind All Dressed Up.

All the team would like to wish Wendy a very happy birthday and thank her for her amazing images, and for everything she does.

We normally have our new challenge on the 15th, but as today is Wendy’s birthday we wanted to do a surprise birthday blog hop, along with our challenge.

Firstly the challenge: the challenge theme is anything goes as long as it features one of our images or digital papers. Here is my card for the challenge:

I used:

All Dressed Up - Love to shop
(great value for money - you get the three girls together and individual images as well)
coloured with my Prisma pencils.
Papers: (it's a Bo Bunny pad, not sure which one tho as I've put it away!)
Kaisercraft clear stamps - Today
Ribbons from my stash.

As an added  bonus (as I got the details of the blog hop a bit confused!) here's the card I made for Wendy!

I used:

Digi image:
All Dressed Up digi - it's not exactly the same (where did I find the image I wonder??) but this is the closest.
coloured (not very well) with my Prisma Colour pencils
Crafts Too embossing folder
Nestie oval and fancy oval dies
Distress Ink with a computer generated image
gems

This is such an easy theme and we cannot wait to see all your fantastic entries, the winner will receive 3 images of their choice from the Store

Onto the blog hop, below is a list of the dressy girls for you to hop around….we have a very big team here so you have until  1st July midnight GMT to hop round them all.

At the end of the hop two random Dressy Girls will pick someone who has visited and commented on their hop card to receive 2 images of their choice from the Store.

Happy hopping

The winners of the hop and challenge will be announced on 3rd July here on the blog.
**PLEASE NOTE ANY ENTRIES NOT USING AN ALL DRESSED UP IMAGE OR PAPER WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CHALLENGE**
The challenge and hop run until Midnight GMT 1st July.

We cannot wait to see all your creations, why not stop by our Facebook Group and share them there too.
Happy Crafting

The All Dressed Up Team

Having a little break

Hi blogworld,

Well it's Monday and I should be here (although much earlier) with my card for the new challenge over at The Cutie Pies challenge - which this fortnight is 'A Cute one for Dad' theme and sponsored by Bugaboo.

Pop on over to the blog for all the details and to see the fab DT inspiration cards.

Now those of you with eagle eyes will have noticed that this post is short on something - which would be the card!

I'm not going to whinge and whine on a lot as I know there are people out there dealing with much worse things than my loss of inspiration.  But that's where I am right now, I've lost all interest in crafting, everything I do I pick apart and I'm not good company.

So, I've very kindly been given a break by the big boss ladies at both The Cuties and MAWTT, which means you won't see me for a little while.

Maybe a break and playing with some stamps or paper or dies might help.

So, for now, I'll say see y'all soon,

Sarah

Inspiration

Good evening blogland,

It's inspiration time over at All Dressed Up where there are new images for June.  Aren't they just adorable?

3 Little Summer Girls

Best Teacher ever

Cheeky Monkey

Prom Princess

I choose Prom Princess to make up into a card and this is it:

I wasn't quite sure what sort of card it was - so it is sentiment-less!

Don't forget our current challenge theme is Bling it up and you could win 3 images of your choice and all you need to do it use an All Dressed Up Image with some bling.
Also don't forget to stop by our Facebook Group to share your All Dressed Up creations & chat to fellow crafters.

Apologies for the lengthy absence, my heart just isn't in the crafting at the moment.  Nothing seems to go how I want and I'm not happy with anything I make, so I'm having a little break.

I'm sure normal service will be resumed shortly,

Cheerio

A challenge, or two:

Crafty Calender Challenge: Petals and Pearls

Inkspirational: Clean and Simple

No image!

Good morning blogworld,

Apologies for the lateness of this post - with SWMbO off on school hols I'm all turned about with what day it is and completely forgot that today is Thursday.

So as I now know it is Thursday I also know it's a new challenge over at MAWTT and our lovely Teamie Carole is the hostess this week.  She's chosen the theme of 'No Image' - instead the focal point should be a sentiment or flowers.

I went for sentiment as my focus but, as the card was made in a rush the other evening, I'm not over pleased with it.  It did feel very odd not colouring anything but it was a very quick make and I think when I have more time I'll have a go at this again.

So here's the card, I've no idea why it looks so wonky - it's not in real life:

I used:

Papers:
Papermania - Birthday papers and sentiment

Dies:
Die-namics - Open Scallop & Stacking Stars

And that's it folks.

I've nothing else to post for the rest of this week and can't see me having time to blog before SHMbO goes back to school on Monday.  So I'll wish you all a good rest of week and weekend and I'll see you next week sometime.

Final post with Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon blogworld,

Another busy day in the house of Sarah - so I'm not going to waffle on at you (not least because this should have gone live earlier today and I forgot!).

My Guest Design Team spot over at Papertake Weekly comes to an end today - it's been an enjoyable few months, and Sharon has been incredibly kind about my cards!  It has though shown me one thing - that I really don't have time to be on a weekly DT!  Life is always so hectic that trying to create and comment (for the challenge and for me) just doesn't work!

So we finish my term on a Sketchie Free For All challenge - there is another fab prize and great inspiration from the Team as always.

I picked an older sketch to work from (sketch No 68) :

And created this:

I used:

Digi Stamp:
All Dressed Up - Love my pets
coloured with my Copics

Papers:
echo park - Be Mine

Dies:
Joanna Sheen - banner

Anything else?
Craftwork Cards - sentiment
ribbon.

And that's all folks!

See you soon,
Sarah

Embossed

Good morning blogland

Going to short change you with the waffle again this week - we have another half-term holiday and I'm looking at a very busy week outside of blogworld.

So onto business - it's Monday and a new challenge over at The Cutie Pies which this fortnight is Emboss it! Which would be, along with your cutest image, either dry or wet embossing.

Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful
 http://craftysentimentsdesigns.co.uk/

who are sponsoring us for the very first time, and we are delighted to be working with them! Crafty Sentiments are offering a wonderful prize of three digi stamps of the winners choice.....so thank you to them!

I did try heat embossing, but the stamp and powders weren't playing ball - so I got my trusty Cuttlebug out and used a favourite embossing folder.  Our sponsors this time very kindly allowed us to pick digi stamps and this is what I made with mine:

Front shot:

Close up of image:

I used:

Digi stamp:
Crafty Sentiments - Henry - why not?
coloured with my Copics
Background stamp - Woodware

Papers:
Basic Grey - archaic

Dies:
Go-kreate - tag
Die-namics - stacking stars

Anything else?
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Twine

Am having to run now - there's an argument erupting in the kitchen and I also want to get to my exercise class (fading hope there!).
