See me I can be a right....

numpty at times!

Hello blogworld

There I was scratching my head over what to do for the 'windows' theme this week over at Sweet Stampin - I even went and brought a digi that windows in the image - when, hiding there on my old PC, was a image with windows!  I even needed to make a new home card - which I completely forgot about!

Ach well, at least I got a couple new digis out of it!!!

This would probably have been the card I would've made for the DT - if I had even half a brain!

I used:

Digi stamp:
Pink Petticoat - Home Sweet Home (no idea how long I've had it!  It was one of the first digis I ever got!)
coloured with my Promarkers

Dies:
Nestie square

Anything else?
D'vine swirls embossing folder
Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
gems from my stuff
Craftwork cards - card blank

Simple or what, but, I hope, pretty?  Who knows, I can't tell with my cards anymore!!!

So anyone want to do some serious, ahh and ooh-ing - well I did anyway.  Look what She Who Must be Obeyed did for her daddy and me:

Pre-printed card - left over from before I made my own!

All in her own fair hand!!

I wonder if you can make out what she's written?  It reads - To daddy and mummy.  I love you so much it is hard to believe you're real. - C'mon then, who is 'ahh-ing'??

Anyway am off now to watch 'Who Do you think you are'.

Back soon,
Sarah

A challenge, or two:

Oldie But a Goodie: Inspired by a song - Our House; Madness (brilliant song, brilliant group - the lyrics all mean something!) The old stuff is pretty much everything, apart from the gems - they are probably a year or so old and as such the newest of the things I've used.

D'you know I can never work out how people get so many challenges listed - I can only ever find one or two!!  And, today, only the one.

A really sweet image Sarah and lovely colouring. Your not the only one who forgets. I was looking at a SC digi on a blog and went to buy it but it had been deleted. Low and behold when I checked my folder for digi images I had bought it but forgotten I had. Think its called being a mother - ladles your brain!!!
Hugs Sharon. x

I still have all those little cards and drawings from when my two were little..... and they are big girls now!! 28 and 26! And I have their favourite reading books too... one day maybe I'll have grandchildren and can bring them out....

Ahhhhhhh!
That printing tears at my heartstrings! What a little sweetie.
She writes just like Liitle Miss C.
They learn to spell this modern way now...I get a chuckle out of reading it sometimes.
Yours does really well with keeping the letters the same size and nice and straight in a row.
C. just learned that since grade 1 stated in Sept. so is still working on mastering it some days. Other days, she amazes me!!!
It is so funny to read, isn't it!

I love these stages of childhood...the whole world is unfurling for them!!!

It was so nice to see the writing of another little girl, so far away but so close in style!

Off to look on your blog for an email addy re me address.

Ps Forgot to mention I came home from hospital one week ago today. I wrote the posts Day 1 through to Day 7 from home. I had so many family and friends telephoning for the details of each day. I actually gave a very abridged version on my blog. IRL was a wee bit scarier...I really didn't want to dwell on the IRL scary bits over and over every day retelling it, so I blogged it all and then released them daily and told all callers just to check my my blog.
That way I could move forward in a positive manner and not get dragged down retelling the bad bits a zillion times.
Today I feel like maybe I might be able to still still long enough to play with those card bits I organized prior to surgery! Yay! I would like to make a Xmas card and maybe another card for my gardening club.
Oh, and hospitol had 1 hour of free internet access a day for each patient but you had to be able to get over to a different floor in an adjoining building. Translation: you had to be strong enough to manage the wheelchair on a long walled ramp. When I was strong enough my husband would wheel me over and we would get a coffee too, as the coffee shop was right beside the internet room. The room was sponsored by one of our major banks in Canada! mmmmm Heaven!
