Why

is it so hard to get a card to come together right sometimes?

Hello blogworld,

Want to see a wasted day - here you go:

All day colouring it - ended up don't like it, doesn't look right.  I also ended up going completely off the sketch the challenge it was meant for gave so I can't use it there.

Try again tomorrow.

I used:

Stamp:
Sugar Nellie - Leanne Ellis: Faraway Thoughts
coloured with my Pro and Flexmarkers

Dies:
Memory Box - part of Rivera Corner
and Marshmallow clouds

Papers:
First Edition - Summer Breeze

Anything else?
Craftwork cards - sentiment
pearls from my stuff

Lost while making:
My temper!!

I'll be back when I'm in a better mood and I might or might not pop it in a challenge, lets see if I like it in a couple of hours.

Sarah

The image is gorgeous! Beautifully coloured.

To me, the sentiment and the cloud don't seem as anchored as everything else.
What if you either added some extra kraft matting somewhere
Or
ditch the kraft cloud and do it over with another paper.

Hope I do not offend as I am not a very good card maker compared to you...but sometimes I wish I had another set of eyes to look at mine when i am making them.

Sometimes I craft with my neighbour once a week. But not for several weeks now. It seems either she or her children have horrid chesty, coughing colds for weeks...I could not take a chance on getting that as my surgery would have been cancelled. And now, I can't cough yet, so no crafty fun starting back up yet...I miss bouncing ideas off each other as we work.

You and me, both! I've spent 3 hours, this afternoon, trying to get a DT card together for next week...hated the image I've got to play with, don't like the theme, and nothing is coming together...given up now, and leaving it till tomorrow....then might just bin it...hahaa!
As for your little doozy....I'd say nowt up with it, except maybe add a darker mat to the image? But, hey...hark at me...about to bin mine...lol!

Me again! Thanks for the kind comments today on my blog...Just wanted to add Little Miss C would never wear that dress to school or even a friends Birthday party either...
She would only wear it to a gala type party at her Mums or Dad's work or the big lavish type parties that are popular at Christmas. Or maybe church and supper on Christmas Day.
It might get worn for a Santa picture although last years Santa pictures were on a pony with Santa beside the animal!!! I guess it is a bit too dressy for that...teehee

Otherwise she is legging and tee's too! Or lately I notice leggings, tee and a ruffly skirt overtop of the leggings.

It's gorgeous Sarah... stop tormenting yourself!! But I know what you mean about taking a long time... some of my cards feel like I'm laying eggs... then when they're made, I don't want to part with them!! LOL

I like her, even though you've used **** I think you've captured the essence of the stamp with your layout.

As far as sketches go - I start off with one, and it almost never turns out how I intended it to so I wouldn't worry about that. Or if I do get it the same, by the time I post it on my blog it's too late to use it!!
