Introducing....

Tinker - or to give him / her full name (as decided by Emily) Miss Miss Tinker.

It looks like s/he is staying then.  The animal sanctuary didn't ring us back (don't suppose they would when they've already got 80 cats to re-home), nobody has put any signs up for a lost cat (and we've been back to check), the vets didn't get back to us - and it sleeps on Emily's bed, I think we are outnumbered!

It's been outside, hence the collar, bell and name tag, and came back without encouragement - a good sign.  The only downsides are that it still wakes up dead early and it does seem to like to chase a bird or two, also it made a bee-line for the road - it is being encouraged not to do that again!

Now if I can just stop it from jumping on the kitchen worktops and dining room table!!!

I've also caught up on personal commenting - just the DT ones to go now.

Sarah

Sarah you are so funny! You can come live here anytime, but in the meantime your new house guest is quite adorable.
And yes life is good for me right now, but when my girls were little it was chaos hahaha. But I would not trade a day of my life good or bad! Have a great week. Really wish we could meet, I am sure we would have some laughs.

Aww Sarah what a sweetie, he/she is gorgeous, looks just like my cat I had when I was a teenager. I definately think you have a new family member. Great name too! Good luck with the early morning thing, I am sooo not a morning person so he/she wouldnt be able to live here! Lol

Hello Sweets. So, you've been adopted by a stray black cat too! My Boo is sitting next to me, (he turned up on 26 Jan and is still here, has been chipped and moved with us) and is seriously eyeballing Miss Miss Tinker. Maybe they could make some Boo Boo Tinker!! ;0

He/ she looks very well settled hun :o) Good luck with the bird chasing thing, just hope it's not a very good hunter! My mum's youngest cat has taken to bringing in worms (eurgh!!!) and bees! She's been stung twice (the cat, that is) and ended up with a swollen face but it still doesn't put her off.

We keep saying we'll get another kitten - we've got one cat who's getting on a bit now - but I think the boys are a bit heavy handed and hyper for tiny kittens... one day! Hugs, Lisa x

Seems to me that you've been adopted! I'm reminded tho', of the saying "As every cat owner knows, no one owns a cat". Won't be long before you'll be wondering just who is in charge in your house!! Lovely that he/she has obviously taken to Emily. And if it's any consolation, I've got a labrador and for all they're meant to be "soft mouthed" he kills birds and rabbits and eats their heads. Yuk! xxx

Oh I'm so glad he'd staying Sarah -he's a gorgeous cat - here's a tip for keeping him off the work benches (I bred cats for 10 years so I'm well versed)just get a fine water spray and give him a quick squirt! - works every time and they soon get the message!! hugs judith x
